A select group from the best Culinary School in Stockholm came to visit our region, as part of a cultural and culinary inmersion trip organized by e-Spain. The tour started with a visit to Mesón de Cándido in Segovia, one of the best known restaurants in Europe. After a visit to some of the best tapas bars in Valladolid, they were welcomed by the Mayor of the city and later enjoyed a degustation of products from different areas of Castilla y León – From the Iberico Ham of Embutidos Fermin to the great cheese of El Pastor and from the Cañareal Cheese producers. Also, they enjoyed the amazing duck products from Selectos de Castilla, the canned vegetables from De lo Nuestro Artesano and the artisanal potato chips from Las Patatas de la Abuela Nieves. A selection of top wines from area wineries were also tasted. Wines from Ossian, Pago de Carraovejas, Montelareina and Viñaguareña were part of the tasting.
